Jin10 data April 14 news, Ebury economist Diaz-Alvarez said in a report that the recent poor performance of the pound against the euro is unlikely to last long. He said this largely reflects the high-risk position of the pound, but the UK economy seems to be prepared to withstand US tariffs. "The UK has been hit by a minimum 10% basic tariff, and its exports to the US are only a small part of its primarily service-based trade sector," he said. This, combined with strong demand in the UK economy and the high interest rates of the Central Bank, indicates that the pound is the most severely undervalued currency among the major currencies in Western Europe.
