The founder of Cardano (ADA) responded to allegations of stealing 600 million Dollars worth of ADA!
Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson firmly rejected allegations that approximately 318 million ADA( of the 600 million dollar ADA ) fund was used improperly.
Hoskinson announced that he would publish a comprehensive audit report regarding the transfer made during the 2021 Allegra hard fork, which was at the center of discussions.
NFT artist Masato Alexander claimed that Hoskinson unilaterally used the "genesis" keys in 2021 to manipulate the Cardano ledger and seized control of 318 million ADA. Alexander compared the incident to Ethereum's 2016 DAO hack, stating, "The Ethereum community hard forked for a $60 million hack; here we are talking about an intervention of $619 million."
Responding to the allegations, Hoskinson stated, "Input Output Global never allocated 350 million ADA to itself. This is completely a lie." He mentioned that a large portion of the mentioned ADA was claimed by the original recipients over a seven-year period, while the remaining was donated to an organization called Intersect.
Hoskinson stated the following in his statement:
Hoskinson, who stated that the events have deeply affected him, said that it was disappointing that some people in the Cardano community do not trust him.
Hoskinson announced that after the release of the audit report, he plans to hand over his social media accounts to a media team, change the format of his regular AMA (Ask Me Anything) broadcasts, and the interactions on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Charles Hoskinson concluded his remarks by stating that he will still participate in events and will not give up on direct contact with the community.
