The DeFi lending platform CrediX has "vanished" just a few days after the attack worth 4.5 million USD, as the website and account X ceased operations from August 4, according to CertiK.

The incident originated from the management wallet being compromised and the misuse of rights on the bridge, allowing the hacker to create tokens without collateral and drain the liquidity pools. The stolen funds were transferred from Sonic to Ethereum.

Previously, CrediX promised to refund within 24-48 hours, but the withdrawal interface has not returned and the recovery plan has never been announced.

This sudden disappearance has raised suspicions of an exit scam, contributing to a total loss from hacks and fraud in the first half of 2025 of 2.5 billion USD.
