A Comprehensive Analysis of the Sui Blockchain Explorer: Features and User Guide
Sui Blockchain Explorer Overview
Sui, as an L1 public chain built on a brand new design concept, has all its blocks and transaction information publicly transparent, allowing anyone to freely view it. Through the Sui chain browser, users can quickly understand the on-chain transaction situation, such as real-time TPS and Gas prices, and can also use the transaction summary to query the detailed content of specific transactions.
Main Features of Sui Browser
The Sui browser primarily provides the following functions:
Introduction to the Browser Main Page
The Sui browser homepage displays core information about the Sui network, including current Gas prices, Epoch and Checkpoint data, transaction activities, popular Packages, and a list of some validation nodes.
1. Network TPS
The upper left corner shows the current network TPS status, including real-time TPS and the TPS peak value in the past 30 days.
2. Current Epoch
TPS displays the Epoch related information below the Block, including the current Epoch number, countdown to the end, and start time. Click on the Block for more details, such as Checkpoint, participating validation nodes, rewards, and storage fund balances.
3. Sui related information
Display the current price, market cap, and total supply of Sui, data sourced from a certain cryptocurrency data platform.
4. Reference Gas Price
Epoch shows the reference Gas price information next to the Block, including the current transaction Gas fee, as well as the average Gas fees for the previous 7 or 30 Epochs. You can choose to display it in MIST or SUI.
5. Network-related data
The top right of the page displays the cumulative number of Packages since the network went live, the total number of Objects, and the number of transaction Blocks.
6. Verification Node Distribution
The right side of the page displays the geographical distribution map of Sui network validation nodes, covering the mainnet, testnet, and developer network. The size of the blue dots represents the number of nodes in that area, and hovering the mouse can show the specific number.
7. Transaction Information
The bottom left of the homepage updates network transaction information in real-time, including:
8. Validator Node List
The bottom right corner of the homepage displays randomly sorted verification node information, and you can click to see more details.
9. Popular Package
The package most frequently accessed on the Sui network is displayed in the lower right corner, and you can choose to show data for the past 3 days, 7 days, or 30 days.
User Guide
Switch Network
The main network data is displayed by default, and you can switch to the developer network or test network through the dropdown menu in the upper right corner.
Initiate Staking
You can initiate a staking request directly from the validator node details page. Click the "Stake SUI" button next to the validator node name to open the wallet for staking operations.
Find specific transaction
You can search for a specific transaction using the address, Object ID, or transaction ID. You can also search for a wallet address to view the transaction history and details of approved transactions.
Advanced Features
For contract addresses, the Sui browser provides the ability to directly view the contract bytecode. For entry functions, it is even possible to directly link the wallet to call the contract, greatly facilitating users' contract interaction needs.
