Filecoin Mainnet activates Fast Finality Consensus Mechanism

According to the Gate.io News bot, as reported by Wu, Filecoin officially activated the new Consensus Mechanism Fast Finality (F3) on April 29, 2025, during Mainnet epoch 4920480. This mechanism enhances the final confirmation speed of transactions by optimizing parameters and architecture. Filecoin plans to launch related APIs to support Wallet, bridge, and exchange integration of F3.

BYD officially announces the Titanium series product line.

Jinshi Data News on December 10th, BYD officially announced the Ti series product line. The Ti series is the second major product series launched by F3 after the Leopard series, and the first model Ti3 will be launched in the first half of next year.

FIL Fast Finality (F3) is undergoing final stage testing, and the Mainnet will be launched soon.

FIL Fast Finality (F3) brings faster transaction confirmation, enhanced Cross-Chain Interaction experience, more efficient lightweight user end, and streamlined storage provider data storage process by shortening the finality time. It is currently undergoing final stage preparation tests. If no critical issues arise, F3 may be released in late 2024 to early 2025 and activated on the Mainnet.

FIL Fast Finality（F3）is undergoing final stage testing, Mainnet is about to launch

The FIL Fast Finality (F3) team is about to conduct the final stage of preparation and testing on the Mainnet. F3's advantages include faster transaction confirmation, enhanced Cross-Chain Interaction experience, more efficient lightweight user end, and streamlined storage provider data storage process. If there are no critical issues in the final testing, the plan is to release the calibrated nv25 upgrade version and deploy the final F3 code in early December 2024, and release the user end in mid-December, with activation in January 2025.

According to IT Home on November 21, Microsoft announced the merger of Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise into the AI assistant Copliot, and any eligible user who logs in with an Entra ID will enforce business data protection. It is reported that Copilot with commercial data protection features will be generally available on December 1 and will soon be extended to Microsoft 365 F3. Microsoft does not have direct access to user data and is not used to train the underlying model. In addition, Copilot is based on the latest OpenAI models, including GPT-4 and DALL-E 3, and offers text and image generation capabilities.

THORChain v.3.10.0 Release
THORChain is testing version 3.10.0 on Stagenet, with a planned release on August 24th. The update introduces Enshrined Oracles for perpetuals, lending, and trading strategies on RUJI, reduces outbound fees on the Base chain from $10 to $1, and adds wrapped assets cbADA, cbXRP, and cbDOGE. Fee mimirs are shifted to operational memory, enabling more flexible fee experimentation, while groundwork for the Advanced Swap Queue (limit orders) is laid, to be activated after version 3.11.

On August 24, during Ethereum Protocol Day in Shenzhen, QuarkChain’s co-founder will present EIP-7907 — a proposal to eliminate the current 24 KB contract size limit. The proposal introduces dynamic gas metering, which would simplify development by removing the need to split smart contracts, thereby enhancing the developer experience and scalability. EIP-7907 is now officially considered for Ethereum’s upcoming “Glamsterdam” upgrade.
