On June 16, the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD) intercepted a plane that intruded into the no-fly zone where Canada's G7 summit was held, and a special team set up by the Canadian police to ensure the safety of the event reported the situation. A private jet reportedly entered restricted airspace over Alberta. Canada's NORAD forces dispatched CF-18 Hornet fighters to intercept it. Security said no further details would be provided as the investigation into the incident is still ongoing. The G7 summit will be held in Kananaskis, Canada, on June 16-17 and was originally scheduled to open on June 15.
